Nursery & Pre-School Section

(3-5 years)

The staff:child ratio in our Nursery section is 1:6 meaning that every 6 children are cared for by 1 adult.

The national care standards stipulate 10 children to 1 adult but we want to provide quality care and can only do so with a greater number of adults caring for your child.

We are allowed a maximum of 24 children per session in our section.

Nursery Day

Each area has a general routine but it is only a guide, we are very flexible and can quickly change if child involvement or the weather for example provides further learning opportunities.  All areas provide your child with the opportunity to play, sing, look at books, experience various messy play, physical play, explore and relax.  All of which can be done within Kids Ahoy, at St. Michael's church hall & the garden even out on walks in the community.  Your child will be well supported, encouraged and praised and there will be plenty of opportunities for them to make lots of new friends and of course be given cuddles.
