Our Space

Our site is designed to blend the best of outdoor fun with intentional indoor spaces to provide something engaging for every child:

• Outdoor Area - After a busy school day, there’s nothing better than getting outdoors! Our children love the fresh air, freedom to explore and we have plenty of space to unwind and play!

• After school Hut - A dedicated space for our after school club children to relax, unwind and engage in activities after their busy school day.

  The hut provides a cosy, child-friendly space featuring a TV area for relaxation, a dedicated arts and crafts section, den-building opportunities and a wide range of board games and activities. This balance of outdoor adventure and indoor comfort allows children to choose how they spend their time. We support their independence & creativity whilst also encouraging social connection.

Outdoor Play

At Land Ahoy, each day presents children with opportunities to take risks, make decisions and explore creatively within a real natural environment. At the centre of our setting flows the water rill, a manufactured stream gently cascading over stones to form shallow pools before returning to the top via a pump. The rill forms part of a carefully designed ecological system, with wetland plants and a willow copse that naturally filters and absorbs water.

The children climb recycled beech tree limbs, navigate the climbing wall and hillside slope or balance on rope structures. Within the nursery grounds, we also enjoy a garden patch which allows children to plant, nurture and witness growth first hand.

Beyond the nursery, the path through the fairy wood leads children into a magical woodland where rope structures, natural wooden bridges and tunnels encourage imaginative and risky play.

Our team ensures that children are dressed appropriately for all types of weather, and our cosy after school hut is open at all times, whenever a child needs rest or wants to have fun with indoor activities.
