Kids Ahoy Nursery

For babies and toddlers aged 0–3, Kids Ahoy offers a warm and nurturing environment right in the heart of Dumfries. Our nursery has been a trusted space for local families since 2002, encouraging little ones to feel safe, settled and ready to explore.

Land Ahoy Nursery

For children aged 3–5 years and afterschool care & holiday club for children aged 5-12 years, Land Ahoy is our purpose built indoor/outdoor nursery. We are a short drive from Dumfries town centre, based near Cargenbridge. We offer an exciting nature-based setting where children can explore and learn in a space designed for adventure, fun & growth.

Who are we?

Kids Ahoy Childcare provides high-quality childcare for children aged 3 months to 12 years including: 0-3 years, preschool, after-school care and holiday club. With over 25 years of experience, we now operate two nurseries, Kids Ahoy, our town nursery and Land Ahoy, our unique forest nursery. We offer flexible, family-centred quality care.

We are passionate about child-centred practice, with outdoor learning and forest school opportunities at the heart of what we do. Our highly trained & well-supported team, high staff-to-child ratios and calm, nurturing environments ensure every child feels safe and happy.

We work closely with families through open communication, daily updates and regular opportunities to get involved in nursery life. Our aim is to create a friendly environment where children can truly thrive whilst feeling valued and supported.
